"Classic Bass" - Precision Bass® (P Bass® ) replacement pickup. They are highly respected by musicians and luthiers alike for their classic tone with more lows and low-mids. Not a replacement for Fender 5 String P style basses with unequal sized pickup sizing.

The two pickups in the P-Bass pair overlap each other by 3/4" (19mm).

The "Classic Bass" series bass pickups are passive designs featuring an extended and more resonant frequency range. They have far more "air" and definition at the top without sacrificing lows and low mids. They are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics."

Please check the physical size of the pickups you want to replace to make sure the replacements fit properly.

Precision – 8CBP,58CBP “4 & 5 String” size

Please Note:Bartolini does not supply screws with their pickups. If you require pickup screws, we carry them on our pickup screws page.

Bart BCBP Pickup
By Rob from on 12/26/2013
I put this pickup into my Fender 70's reissue Precision bass and it made a huge difference. The bass now has a warmer, fuller tone with lots of output. With flats it sounds awesome. Very smooth and open. These are great pickups and I'd buy them again!

Very pleasant

I put it in an old Ibanez Roadstar II, and they work really well. I think it's a great P-PU for lighter instruments (mine is basswood), since it has a lot of range and has a lot of mids and highs to offer. It's a little more polite than I had expected (which I like), but some rock bassists will probably prefer a more bottom-focused, aggressive PU.

Bartolinis in my P-Bass
By Matt Hurich from on 12/26/2013
Hey guys, the new Bartolinis sound awesome!!!... as I figured they would. the natural warmth and wealth of tone spectrum seems effortless for these in a passive setup... I can only imagine the versatility of the active set-up.
Thanks for everything...!
