DESCRIPTION

Singularity Bass Pickups provide massive single coil voice in soapbar shapes. The asymmetric blade design yeilds powerful lows and low-mids along with bright treble due to its precise sensing aperture.

The pickups support a wide range of string widths and have even string-to-string output balance. They are fully shielded to reduce electromagnetic interference and sealed in epoxy to eliminate unwanted microphonics.

Please check the physical size of the pickups you want to replace to make sure the replacements fit properly.

BC – BC4S, “4 String” size

M3 (EMG 35) – M34S, “4 String” size

M4 (EMG 40) – M44S, M45S “4 & 5 String” size

Great sounding pick ups
By Cory from on 9/3/2016

I've never really thought pickups made a huge difference in the sound of a bass but have since discovered that I could not have been more wrong!!

I have a fair good number of basses and to me, some sound better than others. I have this really crazy Prometeus bass that has single coils that were made by the builder and it sounds CRAZY good! Definitely "growly", reminiscent of Rickenbacker, for sure but it's not my favorite bass to play. My favorite is my Mayones Comodous. It had dual coil Barts that were of the "deep tone" variety and while it sounded good, it wasn't the "sonic nirvana" that I feel that bass deserves.

I started looking into single coils and read about the new Bartolini Singularity series. I have yet to find much in the way of reviews but after speaking to one of awesome guys at Best Bass Gear at length, I decided to pull the trigger on a set. I was also considering the Nordstrand Big Blades but the Barts were cheaper (and on special!), in stock (the Nordys are not), drop in replacements and look exactly the same as the original pickups.

The install was a piece of cake as there's only 2 wires and after fine tuning the height, I love them!! They're quite growly but not as "offensive" (and I do mean that endearingly) as a Rick. Really full bottom, crisp, defined highs and very articulate over all. The bass is active so tailoring to tone per song is very easy.

My Mayones sounds like I always imagined it could and I would definitely recommend these pickups. I will probably also get a set for my Warrior and possibly replace the Lane Poors in my Modulus Q5 with them too.

I used these in a custom bass I built out of solid 1 piece ash with a Wenge and ebony neck and a standard jazz bass control set up. Sounds fantastic and am going to use this set up from here out and try different pre-amps.

These pickups provided the single coil tone I was looking for that I was unable to get from jazz pickup designs. The neck pickup solo is nice and bass without loosing the highs and the bridge is nice and crisp but the bass is still present.
