SPB-1 -- In 1957, Leo Fender changed the Precision Bass™ guitar pickup to a two coil system wired together to eliminate interference hum. He also used two pole pieces for each string to capture the greater string excursion of the bass guitar. This pickup delivers the distinctive smooth output, increased treble and full midrange of the original.

Classic dual coil P-Bass, circa '57-'62.

Very pleased with SD. I have this paired with a vintage J and the sound is very nice. Both are running through a bartolini 3 band pre and are quite excellant sounding. nice suprise :)

Classic tone that I was shooting for. There are a lot of vintage style pickups out there, but what you get for your money with the Seymour Duncan is what brings me back every time.
