First time user, have more ideas, very impressed. Mounted at the bridge has so much mid punch with a touch of piano tone. be careful when mixing with other pickups, phasing can be an issue. Have not played out or recorded it but am expecting great things

Delano Bridge Jazz Bass

I am so thankful for this pickup. It was everything I hoped it would be. After much searching and listening to every sound file I could get my hands on for choosing a bass pickup I am really grateful I settled for Delano. What an underated and overlooked company. Great JOB! Do yourself a favor for a jazz and smooth sound approach, buy the pickup.

Exactly what I needed to match up with a MusicMan rear pickup.
By Darrell Birtcher from on 3/28/2016

I have this pickup in front of a Nordstrand 4.2 MusicMan pickup and they work perfectly together.
It has the same kind of punch and definition as the MM, and with the large pole pieces, they look very similar.
Compared to the DiMarzio Model J (DP123) I was using, it is more "open" sounding and is less muddy in the neck position.

I use it by itself for a deep, punchy tone with good definition, or blend it with the MM to get a sweeter, rounder tone than I can get with the
MM by itself. It suits my fingerstyle playing perfectly.

JMVC5 and PMVC5 Delano pups
By Matt Thompson from on 1/3/2014

I put these in my Mike Lull p/j 5. Huge attack. Very strong sound-less sloppy and more focused than stock P pup. Loses a little of the vintage P flavor but worth the trade off if your looking for a more modern sound. P>S> thanks to the guys of BEST BASS GEAR.

Delano Jazz Pick up jvmc4 fe/m2 neck
By joseph infante from on 1/3/2014

I put this pickup in a custom , neck pickup only, jazz bass. It is perfect for my application because when using only 1 single coil pickup, you tend to get a buzz through the amp. This is a humbucker and eliminates that problem. The sound is full and has more bite than the stock jazz pickup. The look of the 4 giant pole pieces was also a plus for me. I would definitely consider using these on my other basses!

I found this to be the best sounding bridge pickup i have heard in along time. Great top end so clear and big low end amazing but what i didn't count on was how loud these 9.5mm pole are.if you are after good value for money you can't go pass these.
