  • Massive carbon steel blades transmit a strong magnetic field to the perfectly matched coils, permitting a fuller and tighter bass response and a lively directness throughout the entire spectrum. Sparkling brightness on top of just the right amount of velvety midrange make up for a great allround tone that will always sound fresh. Excellent choice for one-pickup instruments but works equally well with bridge pickups and active electronics like our DELANO 2 and 3-band circuits.
  • ● - Split Coil Humbucker

  • One pickup half carries the signal of the low-B, E, and A strings while the other half is taking care of the D and G strings, always maintaining full humcancelling operation. While the pickup will be mounted in the standard symetry of a fourstring P-bass™ cavity layout, it allows for string spacings up to 80 mm`s at the bridge. Meaty dimensional fivestring P-bass tone with outstanding clarity and dynamics. enhanced low end and crisp upper brilliance for classic meets modern tone that works great active or passive and in any musical setting.
  • ▲ - Hum Canceller Pickup

Please Note:Delano supplies black screws with their pickups. If you require chrome or gold screws, we carry them on our pickup screws page.

Great pickup
By Chris from on 9/25/2016
I installed a Delano HE/M2-4 P bass pickup into a parts bass I rescued from oblivion. The body is a very lightweight 62 RI alder body (sunburst) and the neck is an Allparts maple P neck with a Tele bass head-stock. The electronics are CTS pots and a Russian PIO cap. Everything is shielded. The bridge is a Hipshot (BBG purchase) and the neck has Schaller tuners.
I'm primarily a worship band bass player with 25+ years of experience. I've owned TONS of basses (still do) from 4 to 7 strings. This P bass with the Delano is one of the best I've played and owned. The Delano pickup is just amazing, and the whole package delivers great fundamental. All of our sound techs at church don't want me to play anything else, and our church is all told about 11,000 members with 4 services per week. The Delano pickup replaced a hand wound pickup I previously installed, and it beat it hands down. Really beautiful sounding pickup. It's TOTALLY worth the investment. Do yourself a favor and get one.

Delano PC4 HE/M2 4 string Precision size split coil pickup
By Alex from on 8/19/2016
Really powerful lows from this pickup, yet it still has an airy middle. More output at any height than I would ever expect. I have come to prefer it as the sole pickup in this 2 pickup bass, and that's new for me; I always gravitate to bridge PuPs. Delano never fails, in my experience. As always, the best part is the excellent advice, expertise and careful service of all the staff of Best Bass Gear. If every company ran this way, we'd LOVE shopping; it would actually be a way of life. Thanks, BBG!

I put this in a bass with a P/J pickup configuration where the J had already been replaced with a Delano. I was so impressed by the sound of that pickup that I wanted to upgrade the P pickup. It still has that warm fat sound that P pickups have but now it has more definition and clarity. Harmonics sing and I can actually get a decent slap tone with flats that I was unable to get before with the old pickup. Well worth it, two thumbs up my brothers.

Excellent choice for replacing Ibanez Soundgear pickups. No body modification needed. The passsive pickups sound much better than the original active pickups with their patented "three band, variable mid, EQ". I changed the controls to passive.
The sound is powerful, responsive and well balanced whether playing agressive or soft. I definitely recommend this choice.
