How does a 1,000-watt 8-pound amp with 4-band EQ, punch/brightness control and a subharmonic generator sound to you? Sounds pretty good to us, and Peavey makes one with the MiniMega.
Oh, and a nice goodie – you can choose between 12 different backlight colors. No, that does not increase functionality whatsoever, but hey, it looks cool.
The MiniMax, a smaller 400-watt head, is just a scant 5 pounds in weight.
Getting the low-end thunder in smaller packages is getting easier every day! What do you think?
tried to find this on the peavey website and it’s not available yet??????
This it terrific! Now if only someone could build a light-weight cabinet…
Given that every Peavey product I’ve owned has never failed and always sounded great, I’d buy one of these heads tomorrow if they were on the shelf.
this loks like it will be a terrific working player’s amp. Gear snobs will never try it, but that’s their loss!
Great news from Peavey..hopefully you can do a update on the new bass cabs they have new for 2014 as well..i bought a Peaey MK IV back in the mid 80s and still have it and it works fine all these years later
Already checked the specs… I owned a couple Peavey amps before, and they never failed me. Would buy one as soon as possible!!!
Real-world street prices on these?????
