Peavey MiniMega and MiniMax Bass Amp Heads at NAMM 2014

How does a 1,000-watt 8-pound amp with 4-band EQ, punch/brightness control and a subharmonic generator sound to you? Sounds pretty good to us, and Peavey makes one with the MiniMega.

Oh, and a nice goodie – you can choose between 12 different backlight colors. No, that does not increase functionality whatsoever, but hey, it looks cool.

The MiniMax, a smaller 400-watt head, is just a scant 5 pounds in weight.

Getting the low-end thunder in smaller packages is getting easier every day! What do you think?

  1. Given that every Peavey product I’ve owned has never failed and always sounded great, I’d buy one of these heads tomorrow if they were on the shelf.
