Bass of the Week: Glen Russell’s Modified Eastwood Classic 4

This week’s BotW comes from Glen Russel of Brisbane, Australia.

My Eastwood Classic 4 modified into a Fender Bass VI-style hollow-body with Filtertron pickups

It’s tuned E1 to E3, using .095 to .025 gauge strings, same as a Fender Bass VI. The Eastwood Classic 6 tailpiece was a perfect replacement for the original one, and the Gretsch Space Control bridge fit perfectly onto the existing base. All things considered (and thanks to Peter at Eastwood), it was a surprisingly easy and extremely satisfying mod. All I need now is an Eastwood case!

Thanks BBG for selling the Gotoh tuners individually!

  1. I’ve learned new tnhgis through your weblog. One other thing I’d really like to say is that newer computer system operating systems usually allow much more memory to get used, but they likewise demand more memory space simply to perform. If a person’s computer is unable to handle extra memory and the newest program requires that ram increase, it usually is the time to shop for a new PC. Thanks
