In their quest to capture that signature ’60s sound Aguilar studied President Dave Boonshoft’s own personal ’63 and ’64 precision pickups. And by staying true to the classic design and using the same classic materials – including Heavy Formvar 42 gauge wiring and Alnico V magnets – Aguilar created a Fender Precision bass replacement pickup with the same big, round tone you’ll hear in almost any hit song from the decade.
Packing just the right amount of mid-range “nose”, the AG 4P-60 is able to cut through a loud rock band and provide that deep support your are looking for in a 60’s precision bass pickup.
And you can be one of the first to get your hands on the AG 4P-60 with the free give-away from Best Bass Gear.
Visit the Best Bass Gear Facebook page and enter by clicking the “like” button and filling out the contest form. Double your chances of winning with an additional entry by also “liking” the Aguilar Facebook page.
Retailing for $140, Best Bass Gear has the precision bass style pickup available now for $109.
Paul, before you start tniryg to make things bigger than they may be, I’d kindly advise you to ride continuously for a few days on minimal sleep, get up early, and descend the steep, winding road Dave Blumenthal was negotiating when this unfortunate accident happened. The wind in your ears while traveling at 30 mph (sleepiness, fatigue, and thoughts of a hot meal not too many more miles down the road aside) are enough to drown out the sound of any truck coming uphill around a blind turn. Tragic accidents happen, and from everything the park rangers and state patrol have shared based on tire tracks in the dirt, this really sounds like it was an accident. Please, this is tough enough for everyone involved already. Don’t go asking for further investigation since you’re clearly rather distant from all of this.
