The EMG P5X offers a similar tone to the original EMG P5 pickup but with more headroom.
The X Series preamp offers increased touch sensitivity and dynamic range, helping to bridge the gap between passive and active pickups. This five string bass guitar pickup covers a wide sonic palette of classic and modern bass sounds. Because the P5X utilizes ceramic magnets coupled with short, squat coils, the tone has brilliant high-end articulation, warmth, and incredible low end punch. Countless pros use this pickup because of its natural presence, superior dynamics, and low noise. Great for all styles of music in the studio or on the stage.
Utilizing EMG's solderless wiring, this pickup is easy to install at home.
