Good, but did not work for my intended use.

It would be a 4 out of 5 rating. Lower due to the inherently low spring tension (on all or most hipshots in general).
It's easy to knock out the set tuning if bumped.
In this instance however, I needed a detuner for a different string location - The E-string of a 5-string P-Bass. Not the low-B.
In multiple inquiries, I tried to get additional dimensional information to see if it would actually work for what I needed it to do.
Mostly directed to Hipshot, but none of my inquiries were answered - and/or just ignored. So I had nothing to go by.
I took a (hopeful) chance and purchased it anyway without really knowing if it would actually fit. Bottom line: It did not.
Niether Hipshot, nor resellers indicate that it will not work in any other position, except the E-string on a 4-string (or the B-string on a 5-string (aka Fender style)).
Other models might possibly work - on the other strings like a 2x2 ZON or Gibson configuration but not in 4x1, 5x1, 4 in-line, 5 in-line Fender-style postions (ie: other than E or B strings).
So as of this review post, I have a cosmetically & functionally new, but unusable detuner.
I would still recommend this product and would continue to use them on any future 4-string bass aquisitions - On the E-String of course!
