GB7 - For use with basses equipped with Gotoh GB7 tuners. (Gotoh GB7 tuners are easily identified by the round shaped cover plate.)
I've been keen to install a D-tuner (or Xtender) on this bass since I bought it. It's a budget build so I couldn't justify it until one of the tuners (cheap GB7 knockoffs) started mucking up. I could have fixed it with a new washer, but I put a D-tuner instead. Installing it was as easy as installing the stock tuner. So it took literally 10 min to install. I wish I'd done it sooner because it fits so well and is such a useful piece of kit. The only negative thing I notice was the sort of 'grinding' feel on the two contact surface as you switch the lever up or down. I've not noticed this before on the D-tuner I had on another bass. I've regreased the cam on the lever and the contact patch it hit, but the action still feels rough. I'm hoping it will improve once I've worn it in a little. Otherwise, I'd fit them to every 4 string I own. I also want to give BBG props for EXCELLENT prices and free shipping to Australia. Thanks a lot guys.
