The DELANO JC series are retrofit pickups for standard Jazz Bass type instruments and can be installed in any kind of bass with similar pickup routings.

The humfree twin coil JMVC5 FE/M2 ultra fast transient five-string bass pickup features state-of-the-art transducer technology combined with avantgarde cosmetics. Strong bass, warm low mids, clean mid response with lightning fast attack and brilliant treble that stays right there from your most subtle into your heaviest playing even if your five string bass is droptuned to subzero. Made it sound like a boutique bass

I recently updated my stock Lakland 55-60 jazz bass with these and the sound is amazing. It actually rounded off the really brittle highs while retailing all the subtle details I like to hear in overtones and harmonics. The main reason is to run just a single pickup full open without the other one and not even a smidgen of a hum like you would in the old stock single coil pickups. (still running passive) It was a hard call because the Lakland pickups are amazing single coils so I needed really good split pickups to make me happy and these fit the bill. Pluss the look cool with the larger pole pieces. Great decision if you looking for a split coil Jazz setup. No need for a preamp here!

Installed these into an already good sounding Lakland 55-60 and got an excellent improvement. I was looking for more mid presence which these delivered plus more clarity and punch. Highly recommend!
