2-Pickup 2-Band System
The NOLL TCM 2 for Jazz Bass ®is a compact equalizer that provides and easy and space-saving installation.
The TCM2 is a complete assembly with Volume push/pull (Active/Passive), Blend, Bass, and Hybrid Treble (Passive tone in passive mode).
Includes controls mounted to control plate, output jack, and chrome knobs.
The Bass and Treble controls are center-detented and allow 15 dB of boost and cut with a gentle slope of 6dB per octave which results in a natural, transparent, and true sound.
This equalizer can be powered with a minimum 9-volt battery, or 18v to ensure more headroom and longer battery life.
The NOLL TMC 2 can be combined with either active or passive pickups.
Potentiometers have a 6mm solid shaft, while any stacked control has 4mm upper, and 6mm lower solid shafts.
This preamp is intended for a 4-knob control layout with the output jack on the side of the bass like the Fender Jazz Bass® Deluxe.
The low impedance output of the TCM 2 provides other great features. You can run a cable for up to 100 feet (30 m) without losing high frequency response.

Klaus Noll really has a gift for designing exceptional preamps, and I've tried most of the other brands out there: Duncan, Bartolini, Aguilar, EMG, and Audere to name a few. The feature I think I like best about the Noll is it is VERY musical sounding. Plus the boost/cut slopes are usable throughout almost all of their range. Some preamps I've tried are far too strong and have way too much boost and cut. The Noll is just about perfect. If you are contemplating an upgrade to an existing preamp, or just want to go from passive to active; give any of these Noll preamps a try. You won't be disappointed.
