DESCRIPTION

We are not authorized to ship Seymour Duncan products outside of the United States and Canada.

SPB-1 Vintage Split Coil Configuration

In 1957, Leo Fender changed the Precision Bass™ guitar pickup to a two coil system wired together to eliminate interference hum. He also used two pole pieces for each string to capture the greater string excursion of the bass guitar. This pickup delivers the distinctive smooth output, increased treble and full midrange of the original.

Classic dual coil P-Bass, circa '57-'62.

Dimensions

  • Length = 2.20"(56mm) Width = 1.08"(28mm)

SPB-2 Hot Split Coil Configuration

Just like the SPB-1, but with extra windings on the coils for musicians who want more output and greater low end response for a fuller sound. The two coils are wired in a humbucking mode to eliminate interference hum.

Pickup cover included.

Warm, ultra fat and punchy.

Dimensions

  • Length = 2.20"(56mm) Width = 1.08"(28mm)

SPB-3 Quarter Pounder Configuration

This Precision pickup is for musicians who want maximum output and extended frequency range. Large quarter-inch wide pole pieces expand the magnetic field and extend the frequency range from low to high end for a fat, full, punchy sound with midrange presence. The Seymourized ™ design balances the coils with the magnets for great sustain and harmonics. Pickup cover included. High output with lots of clarity and high-end punch.

Dimensions

  • Length = 2.25"(57.15mm) Width = 1.09"(27.7mm)

SPB-4 Steve Harris Split Coil Configuration

The SPB-4 Steve Harris Signature P-Bass pickup uses Alnico 5 rod magnets and a unique vintage-hot coil wind that delivers a forceful sound with pushed midrange but tight bass and treble response. Measuring in at 13k DC resistance, the SPB-4 is more dynamic and sensitive to Steve's unique two finger playing style and drives the preamp section of an amplifier hard without clipping.

The SPB-4 can be used alone in standard Precision bass setup or paired with an STK-J2b Hot Stack for Jazz for noise-free and unrelenting tone. Or, try an SJB-3b Quarter Pound for Jazz in the bridge for the ultimate bass assault.

For Steve's sound use a bass made with an Alder body and Maple neck. The tone will be just as fierce with an Ash body or Rosewood fretboard.

Dimensions

  • Length = 2.20"(56mm) Width = 1.08"(28mm)
