{"id":11262,"date":"2017-05-24T10:03:17","date_gmt":"2017-05-24T15:03:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bestbassgear.com\/ebass\/?p=11262"},"modified":"2017-05-24T10:04:38","modified_gmt":"2017-05-24T15:04:38","slug":"hipshot-ultralite-tuners-work-well-on-a-vintage-bass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bestbassgear.com\/ebass\/gear\/hardware\/tuner\/hipshot-ultralite-tuners-work-well-on-a-vintage-bass.html","title":{"rendered":"Hipshot Ultralite tuners work well on a vintage bass"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When refurbishing or restoring a vintage bass, sometimes it&#8217;s necessary to use new parts because the old parts have simply worn out or have become unusable from sitting too long and not being used enough.<\/p>\n<p>This is an instance where new parts were used on an old bass, and it worked out quite nicely.<\/p>\n<p>What you see pictured above and in the video below is a 1978 Gretsch Committee Bass. The bridge has been replaced with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestbassgear.com\/bridges\/shopby\/hipshot.htm\">new Hipshot bridge<\/a>, and the tuners are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestbassgear.com\/hipshot-ultralight-tuners.htm\">Hipshot Ultralites<\/a>.
