Good things come to those who wait. This bass was inspired by a piece of spalted maple stored for 10 years before being put to use to build the right bass.<\/p>\n

Owner Tom LeClair writes:<\/p>\n

This bass was conceived when Denis told me that he’d had a beautiful piece of spalted maple for 10 years waiting for the right project and how he’d always wanted to build a tele bass. The bass has a partially chambered ash body with a book matched spalted maple top and matching headstock, a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. It is passive, has a 35 inch scale, a babicz full contact bridge, Delano pickups<\/a>, humbucker at the bridge, single coil at the neck, two volume & one tone knob and light weight vintage tuners, strung with Thomastik Infeld jazz bass strings<\/a>. It weighs about 9 pounds, is very well balanced, has an incredible array of tones and sits very well in the genres of music I play, country, blues, contemporary Christian and originals. The satin finish is hand rubbed. Overall an incredible instrument, I am very pleased to have the opportunity to own and enjoy it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
