This week’s BotW comes from Samantha Cay. It’s a Fretless Fender P Bass<\/p>\n

This bass is sort of a combination of all my favorite parts. Neck is a ’72. The body is mystery wood I got from an old Korean-made bass. It is a mystery because myself as well as everyone I’ve asked hasn’t a clue as\u00a0to what it is. The grain looks like mahogany, but the color is much lighter more like ash and it’s heavy (I like it that way lol).<\/p>\n

The electronics are a culmination of a lot of experimenting on my part to find what I like. At the heart of things it has a vintage Dimarzio Model P, the volume is a 2.5 meg. Allen Bradly pot and the tone is a 250 K. Allen Bradly with a three way switch to go between .047 .015 or open. To sum all that up it is completely shielded with copper tape.<\/p>\n

In the hardware department it has Schaller BML tuners, Dunlop strap locks and a Badass II bridge, FYI I bought this bridge used for $10 but it was missing a saddle and you guys really saved the day at the time by having the saddles I needed when no one else did, thanks!<\/p>\n

All together the bass weighs in at right around ten pounds, balances perfectly and is one hell of a player with a considerably low action and a super straight neck making this one my number one.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
