This week’s Bass Selection comes from Mark Bombard:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“This is a mahogany and maple semi-hollow body bass I built from scratch.\u00a0 I started with an old 60’s Hagstrom 30 3\/4” scale neck with a fender style peghead, but It now has a new rosewood fretboard with abalone inlays with dimmable LED lights behind the marker inlays and a totally redesigned peghead.<\/p>\n

The shape is very similar and inspired by a Schecter Stargazer.\u00a0 It’s a bit smaller and a whole lot lighter.\u00a0 The pickup wiring consists of a Bartolini 3-band preamp<\/a>, Bartolini Jazz neck pickup<\/a> and an old Rogue bass bridge pickup that I resurfaced.<\/p>\n

It also has a removable vinyl & foam pad on the back.\u00a0 This is my bass of choice for gigs these days, until I build the next one anyway.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
