This week’s BotW that arrived in the featureme@bestbassgear.com<\/a> inbox screams coolness with retro done right with its “70s kitchen” look. And it’s done so well that you don’t notice at first that this bass is in fact a 5-string. <\/p>\n

As my go to bass in 2 reggae bands (Why I Rise & Hubstyle) Goldie Hawn was built with the flashy looks of an 80s leading lady but don’t let her appearance fool you… she’s mean!  I hand picked every part to give her a unique look which always seems to remind me of a 70s kitchen, not sure if that’s the kind of vintage that’s considered cool but I love it.  Obviously the sound is what’s most important and to that I’ll just say my Fender 5 String American P Bass has been riding the pine since Goldie hit the scene.  I actually try to force myself to play my P bass but I just always end up talking about all the reasons I love Goldie more. So I guess consider me Kurt Russell because I love Goldie Hawn!  <\/p>\n

Anyways to some of the details\u2026\u2026\u2026. <\/p>\n

Obviously  had go all Gold hardware – featuring a Hip Shot Transtone bridge, Gotoh tuners, Hip Shot string retainer <\/p>\n

Electronics – Fender Mod Shop Samarium Cobalt Noiseless Pickups, Certain Bass Varitone control plate (awesome!)  <\/p>\n

Neck – Warmoth Maple neck, graphite stiffening rod, 1 3\/4″ nut width, Graph Tech White TUSQ nut, gold fret wire <\/p>\n

Flare – Neck – Reranch neck amber\/vintage satin clear coat   <\/p>\n

     Body – Reranch orange\/vintage satin Clear Coat <\/p>\n

     Pickguard- Greasy grove custom argyle <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
