I angled the fretboard back a couple degrees for a more natural playing position. This bass plays and sounds fantastic. Body is built with a mahogany core, black walnut wings and a book matched zebra wood drop top. The back of the body has a book matched curly zebra wood inlay. Neck is a mahogany core with flamed maple, headstock has front and back ebony laminations. Macassar enony fretboard. 2 way adjustable truss rod, Hipshot Ultralight tuners and bridge, 3 piece ebony and zebra wood nut. No controls, (wide open direct in) and endpin input jack. Bend tradition. I build basses geared toward the metal/hardcore market.

Well done, Mike!

Want YOUR bass to be featured for Bass of the Week?
Submit yours right now using our easy web form

See the business listing for this bass builder here This week’s bass guitar of the week gives a nod to Gibson Thunderbird design, but the rest is all custom goodness.
