First was a black 1st generation single pickup model from late 1990s, named Black Betty. Betty evolved using Bartolini pickups supplied by Best Bass gear in early 2000s, serving as my flexible workhorse. When Betty’s body cracked at the neck pocket in 2011, I set about finding another Epiphone Ripper. After a couple of years I found a 2006ish 2nd generation model. While transferring the electronics I discovered nothing carried over between generations.
