This week’s bass guitar of the week is based on a Japanese sword.<\/p>\n

Builder Sergey Poedinko<\/a> writes:<\/p>\n

This bass was inspired by Japanese longsword daikatana. Its body and neck is made from two pieces of Sapele with Pao Ferro reinforcement in between. The neck has two truss rods. It’s actually headless but with a head. The bass is finished in Danish oil. It’s multiscale 33″-36″ bass with fanned frets. Fingerboard is made of a beautiful Pao Ferro. On this bass we used our Dahrendorf Neodymium single-string pickups with a passive circuit on a CTS pots. Bridge is our single-string Dahrendorf Shutters. It’s made of a bell brass as well as all hardware. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
