This week’s feature bass design started with the string retainer and was built from there.<\/p>\n

Builder Giorgio Benedettini writes:<\/p>\n

Hi, I’m a luthier form Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. <\/p>\n

This Bass started with the idea of a coin used as a string retainer. Then I designed everything else. <\/p>\n

The top is Redwood, mahogany and peroba body, maple neck with ebony fingerboard, and two carbon fiber rods beside the truss rod. <\/p>\n

Jumbo frets, with Bartolini<\/a> MV5CBJD pickups, James Demeter preamp, Schaller tuners and Hipshot A Style<\/a> bridge. <\/p>\n

It’s aimed for recording, (its a bit heavy and very solid), with various tones to select, from deep sound of the quad humbucker to clean inner and outer coil split. <\/p>\n

With low action, for those who like to fly on the fingerboard. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
