I never had a fretless bass and everyone I have tried were not so good as I wished. I am living on a small island in great archipelago in SW Finland and I wanted to have some material from our surroundings. The body is alder from the island nearby, the neck is maple and the fret board is rosewood. The knobs are made of juniper from our court. The saddle is made of elk bone which I found from another island nearby. The plates on the back side are made of teak leftovers from a boat builder. The microphone(s) + wiring is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bestbassgear.com\/emg-pickups-mm-shape.htm\">EMG-MM-TW<\/a>. The only decoration on the fret board is made of an old piano key, the side markings are made of an expired credit card. I have played with this bass almost all kinds of music from blues, rock and jazz and I never had a better electric bass than this.
