This week’s feature build was originally inspired by a specific special edition Fender Stratocaster.<\/p>\n

This based was inspired by Fenders reclaimed redwood Strat. The reclaimed redwood came from the Old Pacific Lumber Company (PALCO) in Eureka, California which has been shut down for a number of years. They dismantled the buildings and sold off the redwood that was part of the structure of the mill. The wood has been carbon dated as old as 5000 years. The body is solid redwood. Neck through. Neck is Maple and walnut. Bartolini pickups<\/a> and Bartolini 3 band preamp<\/a>. Gold Hipshot bridge<\/a> and ultralight tuners<\/a>. Rosewood fretboard that is inlayed into the neck with inlayed gold mother of pearl dots. Black knobs with maple buttons. Fiber optic side position markers which is my own design and inspired due to playing in musicals where the pit is dark and I can’t see the side dots, I tried glow in the dark tape but the charge would wear off before the first act was over. This definitely solved that problem and they are not too bright and obnoxious.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
