Grainger Guitars is a small custom shop run by my brother (Gavin Grainger) and myself.  Having played guitars\/basses for almost 20 years and loved all things guitar related we decided to use our skills as precision engineers and the CNC machinery in my engineering company to make some guitar bodies (Strat type) having good results with these we began to experiment on original designs using solid works and CADCAM.  Over the last 12 months we have produced a few 6 string guitars of varying designs and specifications and decided to try our hand at a bass.  Whilst producing the wooden items we have also manufactured our own bridges and just started manufacturing our own tuners.<\/p>\n

Our first bass is now complete, known as “Origin” this build is a 24 fret, 4 string, dual humbucker layout, 3 piece ash body with walnut stringers and detail inlay, book matched rosewood top, zebrano slim profile neck with rosewood finger board featuring spalted beech custom 12th inlay.  Active Glockenklang 2 band EQ<\/a> with pickup balance and volume controls, Sperzel locking tuners, adjustable nut and precision manufactured Grainger Guitars “Lock & Rock” bridge.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
