Below: Cutting out the pick guard with a bandsaw, purposely staying 1\/16″ away from the cutting line in order to file down later since the bandsaw leaves a rough cut edge; the edge will be smoothed out in a moment.<\/p>\n

Below: Spindle sander now used to smooth out rough edges left behind from bandsaw, and for more precise shaping. 80-grit was used.<\/p>\n

Below: Metal file used for more precise shaping on the outside curves. (Note: Outside curves are easier to shape by band instead of using the spindle.)<\/p>\n
