Our BotW for this week comes from Josh Inouye, who built it using electronics purchased from Best Bass Gear and used the bass as part of his resume for working at Nordstrand.
“My chambered single cut neck-through 5 string bass. Quilt maple top wings and back Wenge/ Maple laminated Figured African Mahogany core 7 piece body, 5 Piece Wenge Rock Maple neck with integrated neck angle and Spanish scarf joint, Ebony fingerboard inlayed with sterling silver ring face and fret markers, African Blackwood headstock top and back cap for a headstock almost 3/4” thick.
One of my builds, Concept being if Ken smith and Vinnie Fodera never parted ways. and then met Carey Nordstrand NX5. This was made with electronics purchased from best bass gear before I worked at Nordstrand. and ended up being my resume. It features Nordstrand DC Series pickups with series parallel switches, Nordstrand 3b preamp and sterling silver ring face inlays”
