You guys and gals are always asking us for SOUND SAMPLES of certain bass guitars, and we happened to come across one for the Fender Modern Player Coronado Bass.
Note up front: Video is not in English, but that’s not the point. The point is you hear this thing, and the demo is good. And before you comment, yes, the bass is demoed using both pick and fingers. Watch the whole thing before you comment. Please be sure to tell us what you think of the Coronado.
I think that it sounds surprisingly great and the clip showcased the bass well.

I really like the sound. Not muddy at all! Fender did their homework on the pickup design, and I like the vintage looks with a modern tone.

Not bad at this price point. The pickups sound good individually but are a little muddy in tandem, losing definition and getting a little wooly. I’d like it better if it came with Wildwood like the originals, or at least with an Antigua finish.
