This Week’s Bass of the Week comes from Bill Wilkat of Wilkat Guitars in Quebec, Canada.
This Wilkat Headless Beatle Bass (34″ scale) was fitted with the Bartolini pickups, controls and knobs supplied by Best Bass Gear and the client is very happy.
The bass features a walnut neck with Ebony fingerboard, a figured cedar top and a walnut back for the body, and uses the Hipshot headless bridge and nut system. The finish is a dark walnut stained Danish Oil.
Featuring:
I would like to see the head please!, it’s beautiful!
Is it headless because the head isn’t in the picture? 🙂
I would like to see the head also. Where did you get that bridge???
Its like a modern interpetation of Felix Papilardi’s (Mountain) Gibson violin bass from wat back when. Very cool
LOL! yes, it is indeed headless, and if you contact me directly I can e-mail photos of the full bass and better shots of the head piece, and answer any other questions that anybody might have–contact me at wilkat@sympatico.ca, and I will reply as soon as I can.
Later,
Bill Wilkat
Oh, and the bridge is from Hipshot in the USA–as well as the head piece, which comes with it!

Bill
