How to build a bass guitar – Fabricating a control cavity routing template – part 2

This is a continuation of part 1. In this step, the control cavity routing template is finalized and completed.

Below: A jigsaw with scroll cut blade is used to cut out the template.

Below: A spindle sander is used to smooth the inside edges where it can reach.

Below: Where the spindle sander cannot reach (or cannot fit into,) those areas are filed manually.

Below: Center punched points are made for the pick guard screw holes so we know exactly where to drill.

Below: A 45-degree angle chamfer bit is used to drill countersunk holes for pick guard screws .
