The feature bass for this week looks like a chess board, but in a really nice way.
Builder Anthony Mcdonald from www.anthonycustombass.com writes (in the original way he wrote it):
Wood on this bass a variety of ten native wood from Jamaica including mahogany on top build buy a Jamaican genius Myran Mcdonald, Maple Purple Heart African rosewood, on body wenge fretboard. Pat Wilkins the genius finisher Bartolini preamp Emgx pickups Hipshot headless bridge Schaller strap locks

Well done!

Ugly…what’s with all the knobs?
Why would you make a comment like that? The builder obviously put a lot into building this bass. What have you built? I would bet nothing. Maybe the next time the polite thing to do if it is not your cup of tea would be to not commit and move on.
Body shape looks like a Parker Fly
Awesome! Totally unique.
Very unique. I love to see builders who think outside the box.
