[Bass of the Week] BassBird Rick

The feature bass for this week is a unique build that has interesting string options.

Otto from www.bassbird.nl writes:

I built a Rick-style bass with a 4 normal strings setting and a extra A,D,G strings with octave strings. The bass is built of mahogany body and maple neck. I used WCS pickups that can’t be switched single / humbucker. The bass has passive electronics, Kluson tuners and a ETS-MK111 bridge.

  1. You now, I get it — build something that’s unique and kinda cool. But what about playing the darn thing? Seems like it would be a hell of a lot of work!
