Bass Of The Week: Dave Pushic 6

This week’s BotW is all about the “it” factor, and Kee’s David Pushic 6 definite has “it.”

Kee Writes:

I have been playing my DP custom 6 for a year now and I have to say it is the best instrument I have ever owned!!!  I have played just about every top of the line bass out there and NONE are able to match what I have found in my Dave Pushic 6. Everyone from band mates, choir directors, sound engineers etc. have told me this bass has the it factor. They love the tone the beefiness and most of all the clarity of my bass. I would describe the tone as a cross between a pre-gibson Tobias and a Ken Smith. I can honestly say this baby is gonna be around for a really long time!!!!

  1. I have to say Kee is right. Dave made a bass for me back in 2005 or so — a five string. The neck is incredible. The sound is huge, the price very reasonable, and it is an incredible instrument. And, I own four Alembics, including a series 2. Dave was easy to work with and I would have him build me another bass in a second.
