This week’s BotW that arrived to featureme@bestbassgear.com included a name (thank you!) and oh yes, it’s got blues. Literally.
Leo writes,
Name of the bass: Javali Blues Bass
Body: Hard ash jazz bass, from TK Custom Guitars – Denver – CO
Neck: Warmoth jazz neck, with maple, indian rosewood fingerboard, cream
binding and pearload blocks inlays.Pickups: Cream passive Dimarzios J Model, bought from you!
Bridge: Badass Bass II
Tune machines: Grover classics
Pickguard: Jazz Bass blue pearl from Warmoth
Body paint in Blueburst and assembled by Othon Arruda (Luthier Shop BH –
Brazil)

The blue pearloid pick guard is a nice touch and brings out the cream binding accents very nicely! Well done!
To have your bass featured for Bass of the Week, send an email with a short story (and please include a name for your bass, even if you name it after yourself) and some photos to featureme@bestbassgear.com.

…ready to play some hard-ash blues baby!
yes!
Cool color.
Seems a little busy to me…Morris Lapidus comes to mind…
Kool colour. Betcha it sounds warm!
Nice Job
I like the transparent blue on the body, but I can’t live with the pearloid blue pickguard. A solid color pickguard would be my choice, and in something other than blue.
I would do a clear pickguard on that bass.
I love the Bass wish they had one that’s a 5string with built-in preamp equalizer.it would b perfect
Really sweet sounding bass & I love the colors
Very nice looking jazz bass! Looks like a great player! Love the blue color scheme.
I really dig your bass. i am an old blues lover myselself. i would like to build one myself, but my hands shake too much these days
Ola from Spain! I love this bass. I could work with this instrument. Its just a bit showey/Flash with all a real musician needs to make smooth Salsa Brasilana. Obnrigado hermano!
Actually dig it…Blue Sparkle pick Guard and all. Imagine this with a Blue Sparkle Tuck and Roll “Kustom” amp. Fit for any and all blues lounges at that point.
Very nice. Looks like it would sound pretty “rockin’”!!!
