[Bass of the Week] Keith Roscoe Century 3005

This week’s BotW has some serious eye candy going on, but it’s definitely more than just a pretty face.

Buyer Andrew writes:

Keith Roscoe and the rest of the team and Roscoe guitars and basses. Roscoe Guitars P.O. Box 5404 Greensboro. NC 27435 518 North Spring Street Greensboro, NC 27401 Phone: 336 274-8810 Fax: 336 275-4469 Email: info@roscoeguitars.com

This is the result of a custom bass build years in the making. After carefully selecting the luthier I was able to narrow down the perfect bass for my needs, wants, desired sound, and boutique look. This bass has a swamp ash body with an exhibition grade cocobolo top. The 3 piece bolt on maple/ Purple Heart/ maple neck is arguably one of the fastest, easy to play necks money can buy, and has two graphite truss rods for support. The fretboard is a beautiful wenge with matching cocobolo 12th fret inlay as well as matching cocobolo headstock. Last but not least it is equipped with Bartolini active electronics and black/ gold hipshot hardware. The pictures were photographed by Gard Lewis, general manager of Roscoe bass guitars the day it was completed and shipped to me.

Sometimes it does take years to get a build done exactly right. Andrew got exactly what he wanted, and yes, it was absolutely done correct.

  1. I love that bass. It resambles my Ibanez SR 5005 OL Prestige a lot, which I loved also immediately by the looks of it (and of course I discoverd it plays and sounds awesome).
