This week’s feature bass is a custom model from builder Guglielmo Mariotti that was originally inspired by features from the Music Man Bongo 5 bass.
Frederik writes:
First time I met Guglielmo, he was playing with The Watch and my band was support act for their show. We had a long talk and G told me he made a lot of instruments for the band. As I was looking to buy a new bass guitar (I was thinking of the MusicMan Bongo 5) I had the idea to ask him to use MM mechanics and electronics and make the model he wanted with these elements. The result was the first Eggshell model made, I’m still using it now and I would not change it for any other bass.
(Editor’s note: Although the submitter didn’t state what the pickups were, it’s believed they are Seymour Duncan SMB5A or SMB5D or a combination of both.)

Great design with easy-use contols, well done!
