This week’s BotW is a left-handed Warmoth build from Rob Vitetta.
I finished the build on this bad boy about three months ago and thought I might give BotW a shot. It’s a Warmoth build, purely because I’m left handed and i couldn’t get all the options I wanted in anything made by a company and yeah, I pretty much went “How hard can it be?”, started researching and 9 months later, had myself a new bass. The body, swamp ash with a flame maple top, and neck, hard rock maple with an Indian rosewood fretboard, are from Warmoth as well as some minor bits of hardware. They’re pretty standard except for a contoured heel and the 24 fret neck. Then I’ve gotten the Hipshot ultralight tuners, a Hipshot A-style bridge, a piar of DiMarzio ultra jazz pick ups and an Aguilar OPB-3 preamp all from you guys at BBG

Sweet bass. I did the same for a deluxe 5 Jazz. Not left handed, but I wanted something 100% US made. Spec’d all the hardware and electronics as such all the way down to the strap buttons.
Is that the Dinky Jazz? Does it seem pretty lightweight? Did you go with the steel reinforcement rods or graphite? I think if I did it again, I would go graphite.

Hey, cheers Butcher! Nah, I ended up with the Dinky P, cause it’s a smaller body and I was going for maximum weight reduction and I got the steel rods for a more solid tone but I’m with you, if i did it again I’d definitely get the graphite!

I can’t find a tuner for my broken g-string tuner. The plisatc key cap broke off. I have upcoming gigs and need one bad. It is on a Godin XTSA guitar. I can replace it myself I just need the part. Do you have access to these? Can I buy one? If not, do you know where I can get a Godin tuner? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Howard
