[Bass of the Week] The Criman Tracktor Aqua

This week’s submission comes from Cristian. Here’s a little about his 5-string beauty:

At the high temperature of the stage, in the fire of the show, the wood seems to melt into a huge drop of pure water sneaked through the strong and old tree bark. When the strings vibrate, the sound rich in harmonics and sensations makes you think about the small magic drop that, falling in the ocean, sometimes starts the storm!

The bass includes several amazing features which can be seen in the specs for the build.

Name: Tracktor Aqua

Type Unique Handcrafted Custom Bass

Scale: 34″

Nut: Anti buzz fret

Pickup Seymour Duncan, active system

Frets: Wide/Highest, 18% nickel

WOOD:
Body: Cherry

Fingerboard: Bubinga

Neck: laminated- Maple, wenge, padouk, zebrano

SPECIALS:
Color: Natural wood and transparent resin.

Specials: Wood inlaid with glow in the dark resin for a great night effect. Handmade glow in the dark control knobs made of resin. Part of the body is made of transparent resin for an amazing water effect.

So, what do you think of Cristian’s new build? BTW – If you’re going to comment, whether it be positive or negative, please keep it constructive! We don’t approve of haters. [Comment below]

  1. Super nice bass! Great artistic choices and I LOVE that you left the knot in the wood on the body. I am a firm believer in letting wood look like wood so I also leave knots in the body, not the neck, as long as it does not create a structural weakness. LOVE IT MAN!

  2. The resin treatment is insane. I love how it let you keep the bark. And combined with that amazing knot the whole thing is just gorgeous. Very nice job.
