This week’s BotW comes from Sheridan Basses. With an incredible looking body, and some great gear, it’s an absolutely stunning custom build. Check out more on the Sheridan Basses website.
Featuring:
- Nordstrand Fat Stack Pickups
- John East U-Retro Deluxe Preamp
- High-gloss poly body and hand-rubbed poly on the neck
- Buckeye burl on ultra light-weight swamp ash
- Purpleheart fret board
- Neck stringers on flamed maple
- Stainless frets
It is obviously a great machine…I’d love to take it for a test drive…But, I must ask: Who decided that burled buckeye has a pleasing look to it?
Respectfully,
Mark “Doc” Mackey
I’m sure it plays well, but a “gloss vomit” finish????
Now Now kids, play nice. This is musical art! Unique and special to the artist who built it more importantly, a one-of-a kind, terrific instrument for the future owner eager to adopt it in to his life! I personally prefer jamming with something different. This definately is not a stamped repeat, cookie cut out. I like it, GREAT WORK!
I agree that bass is sweet as hell and very unique. It will most def. turn heads period. Stop hating on the finish!!!
