Bass of the Week: Stacey Darren Leazer’s Les Paul Triumph

This weeks BotW, a stunning Les Paul Triumph bass, comes from Stacey Darren Leazer. Who actually had a ’76, but sold it and ended up regretting it so much that he picked up a ’78.

It’s an Ivory White (that turns a nice yellow kind o f color) Les Paul Triumph Bass. Love, love, love these basses! They speak to me and help me carve out “my sound” and “vibe.” Gibson only produced 200 of these 30 1/2 inche scale Great Whites. The pickups in these basses are amazing!

Check out all the great basses posted to our Facebook wall. Post pictures of your own bass, and it might just be featured as the Best Bass Gear Bass of the Week.

  1. Hi Drew,Well as I said my place here was up for sale, and I have a deposit in the bank right now so thinikng of heading to you around first week of July! You may recall I am partially disabled, and a grumpy old fart, but that a side, I am struggling with my Yamaha bass! I like the idea of getting away from 2 buckers to Jazz pu’s as i’m a blues, rock/Jazz fiend. Anyway this Fender Jazz/Jaguar wizzo thing looks interesting. Because of my short left arm I am wondering if I might be happier with a short scale now I’m 67. Got enough pre amp here for any sound/tone I want! The narrow nut of this Fender appeals to, and it’s got the bling and old man needs! So have a think will you, and get back to me. I still have free UK calls so get comfortable! No! I don’t want a Junior Flea haha! Regards. Albert.
