This week’s BotW that arrived in the featureme@bestbasgear.com inbox comes from YARAH Customs with some lovely hand-carved goodness.

Scott Barritt here with YARAH Customs. Sending you pix and info of my custom designed & handbuilt EA5G 5 string bass.
Birthed out of the necessity for an instrument lighter than my old 13+ pound bubinga, the EA5G features a Paulownia body with African Padauk contrast and Tiger/Quilt maple top in a deep Amber nitro finish.
Handmade aluminum nut, hand-carved Padauk tuners, control knobs and pup covers. Add a Deusenberg style bridge and Nordstrand H/S pickups, and the EA5G truly plays like butter and looks like nothing else!
Debuting at Summer NAMM 2013, the EA5G was first tested and critiqued by world renowned bassist Igor Saavedra, whose invaluable input and encouragement was greatly appreciated!
Let us know what you think!

A fine piece, to be sure. Scott wants opinions, so please feel free to comment.
Would you like your bass featured? Send an email with a few photos and the story of your build to featureme@bestbassgear.com. Amateur and Pro builds are both welcome.

It would be sweet to have some audio/video clips of these featured basses! Would be cool to hear them in action, be it a straight up demo style, on stage or a recording. Just a thought. Hey Naw!
YARAH one fine bass!!
Looks like an interesting bass. I can’t say I’m a fan of the headstock shape. I can’t get away from the fact that it looks like silhouette of a frog
I own 2 of Scott’s basses, and they feel and sound incredible!! Definitely worth the money!!!!
