  1. Good quetsion. I Good quetsion. I remember when i first started teaching myself i wondered if there was some special kind of bass designed for slap. And the answer: Not really.Slap can be played effectively on a regular bass. It is just a matter of finding a tone and eq setting (on your amp) that suits the sound you’re looking for.There are some basses that are designed customer for slap players (usually expensive), but it can be done perfectly well on a normal bass.
