Signature Stambaugh strings from Curt Mangan

Stambaugh Musical Designs is known for the entirely handcrafted quality guitars they produce from their New Hampshire workshop.

Curt Mangan takes equal care and has a similar hands on approach in their production of strings at their Cortez, Colorado factory.

Could the two be a more perfect match for collaboration?

The artisan companies worked together and the result is a signature line of Curt Mangan strings perfectly suited for Stambaugh basses.

Indicative of both companies’ custom approach, the Stambaugh Musical Designs Signature Series from Curt Mangan features every variation of strings you could need. So whether you’re slinging on a standard 4-string bass, a 6-string with a high F, or a 10-string sporting a low F#, they’ve got a set for you.

For over 15 years Chris Stambaugh, owner and operator of SMD, has been crafting custom guitars and basses. At SMD they pride themselves on their direct communication and interaction with customers, allowing them to create custom instruments precisely to the customers desires.

Curt Mangan worked at Ernie Ball for 18 years before venturing off on his own to create Curt Mangan Strings in 2004. For almost a decade they’ve been using quality materials and expert craftsmanship to create the best strings possible.

Sets from the Stambaugh Musical Designs Signature Series from Curt Mangan are available for order today from Best Bass Gear.

  1. seems like the government can’t rlaley figure out why obesity is such a huge problem they railed against saturated fat, but has that made any difference?, so now they are trying a new campaign against portion sizes. In my opinion, portion sizes have nothing to do with it. It’s unfortunate that people can’t rlaley see what is causing the problem: basically soda (+ any sweetened beverage)_, chips, ice cream, candy bars, cookies, junk food in general all this stuff is rlaley the problem. What to do about it? I’m pretty sure it’s not the governments place to even mention it but there are things that can be done. see what happens is with these foods I mentioned above is that they create huge rushes in insulin levels. your body wants to keep eating when you eat these foods. If you eat a large portion of chicken and broccoli, your blood chemistry won’t get all messed up and you will stop craving. You can even eat some rice or bread or whatever decent carbohydrates it’s just that people need to know how dangerous some of this stuff can be. Also it obviously depends on personal metabolism. I’m interested in this paleo diet possibly in the near future I think the government should recommend things on that level seems more healthy than just a non-descript message to eat smaller portions.
