I recently purchased a Marcus Miller Fender Jazz 5 string bass through Amazon. I did not know these guitars come with Hip Shot tuners which in my humble opinion are horrible looking. I ordered a set of Fender tuning keys like the ones that are installed on my Fender American Deluxe V. There are two small pegs on the tuners. I need to know if there is a template that I can use to drill the headstock to be able to fit these tuners on my bass. I cannot find an article that addresses this subject.
