March on e:Bass

Whenever a television show pulls the “Last time on …” recap to start an episode you just know big things are happening. Stuff is going down and they need to set the scene for it. Someone from one group is going find the hatch and meet the other group on the island, and there will be a polar bear for some reason.

(We really have no idea what “Lost” was about.)

Anyways, here on e:Bass things are going down. It’s been a busy month, and we thought we should catch you up on all of it, you know, just in case you missed something. (It’s cool if you did, we’re forgiving people.)

Evan gave us a simple video guide on How to wire an Aguilar OBP-2 preamp and we learned how there are No mistakes on the bandstage.

We checked out some new products including Aguilar’s Tone Hammer 350 and Mid ’60s P Bass pickupsDunlop’s MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe pedal, and Curt Mangan’s Stambaugh Musical Designs Signature strings.

There were some awesome basses, including 22 steps to an incredible bass build, and some great Bass of the Week winners including  Karl Thorkildsen’s 7-string fretless bass and Tony’s 5-string beautiful walnut bass.

And of course we checked out the new album from Bieber slayer Esperanza Spalding and reminisced about high school albums on the 10-year anniversary of Taking Back Sunday’s “Tell All Your Friends”.

So we hope you enjoyed the last month on e:Bass, and we hope you continue to stop by these parts. We love getting this stuff out to you guys and we promise that it won’t all just turn out to be some weird after-lifey kind of dream world.

(That’s how “Lost” ended, right?)
