[Bass of the Week] Kian Hollow Body Les Paul Short Scale

The feature bass for this week is a nice single cutaway shape with a very nice NOS 26-year-old gold-tone humbucker.

The owner of the is Leonardo Deus, and the builder was Sanzio Brandão of Kian Guitars in Belo Horizonte Brazil.

Leonardo writes:

This bass has a neck-thru construction the body and neck are Brazilian mahogany the top is solid carved quilt maple, the fretboard is Brazilian rosewood with mother of pearl block inlays the bridge is hipshot Supertone 2 point the tuners are Grover 145C and the pickup are 1990 new old stock De-Armond Gold Tone Humbucker, the bass has a 30 1/2 scale, and has a sweet mid~low tone

  1. Very nice Leonardo! Are the “f” holes painted on? I have one of those pu’s waiting for a future project. Did you run 250k or 500k pots?
