The feature bass this week was inspired by the fairer sex.
This custom bass was inspired by beautiful creatures – Women! Its shape and delicate beauty creates a wonderful mental picture!
It is a 34″ scale with top basswood, center and back of mahogany and a neck thru design of maple and mahogany. It features Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups and individual Gotoh bridges/saddles.
Knobs, pickup covers, truss rod cover and electronic covers are all carved wood.
Custom built for a friend with care and love
Well done!

Very sweet bass!!
WELL DONE SIR… WELL DONE!
There are more than enough P bass and J bass clones in the world already so it’s nice to see an original design. Very sexy bass right down to the butt cheeks and you even put a tramp stamp on her! Awesome dude.
Thanks so much. While building it, I could hardly keep my hands off “her”
Beautiful work. I love the transitional color choices of woods, gold hardware and the inlay on the body. I imagine the overall presentation is even warmer then the photos. Well Done.
Thanks for the comment. It is even warmer in person AND plays great
How do I get me=y hands on one of these?????
HOW DO I GET MY HANDS ON ONE OF THESE FINE LOOKING BASSES????
I build them! If you are interested, let me know and we can explore possibilities!
Wow very beautiful, really nice work of art.
The fairer sex? Seriously going to compare women and guitars?
Ease up snowflake. In every other country in the world, women are recognized as “the fairer sex” because their physical features are finer than most men. It’s meant as the highest complement and has been used as long as there’s been a USA.
That’s the problem with today’s young generation. Hurl insults at each other on their “smart” phones then get butt hurt over the silliest things.
BTW That’s a beautiful guitar, regardless of who made it. And also BTW the guitar building business has been a good ole boy’s club for a long time so I give big kudos to the women who built that beautiful creation.
Well stated Leftybass. Kids these days…
Needs handlebar mustache for fret markers
Thanks “Best Bass Gear” for the honor of having my Bass chosen as Bass of the Week. Point of reference- I did not know it was named Bass of the Week until I opened one of your emails and saw the picture
