Before anyone asks, no, these longboards are not being made anymore.
Guys who make basses will usually at some point try something different “just because.” Woodworking obviously doesn’t need to limited to just bass guitars.
There was a time when Dingwall had some longboards constructed, and they were genuinely crafted well.
What stopped Dingwall from making making more? As Sheldon will describe below, a decision had to be made whether to go all-in with longboards or all-in with basses, and it was decided that basses should be the company focus.
As the old saying goes, do one thing and do it well.
