This week’s BotW is a great looking custom-made bass from Eric Lebowitz of Ball Ground, Georgia.
“This is my custom made 2008 Special Fender MIM P Bass. I have routed the bass and added a Music Man Humbucker in the bridge, a Babicz bridge,Fender flatwound strings,Custom engraved neck plate, had all the frets leveled and polished, moved the input jack to the bottom, coil tapped the Humbucker and installed CTS pots…..The amp in the pic is a 2000 Kustom KBA100 that rocks the house. I also use a Fender 2×10 extension cab from the mid 90’s.”
Featuring:
- Babicz Bridge
- CTS pots
- MusicMan Humbucker Pickups
- Fender Flatwound Strings

Pretty cool. Been thinking about putting a NM in place of the hb on my 96 American deluxe p
Obviously you didn’t read the many reviews that I found in favor of the Nighthawk resusie. Just got mine delivered and have to say my first impression is that it’s a beauty. I got the trans amber finish. The smaller body didn’t bother me; and I have a vintage Custom Les Paul. Did some preliminary tests on the pickup configurations in clean mode. I was impressed that every configuration setting, including the split coil, was quite distinguishable. Man, I found a setting, the neck humbuckers and center single coil, tone set at 4, that gave me a great jazz tone something like Pat Martino sound. Going to now testing the guitar and it various settings on my Cyber Twin, laney and Delta blue amps. For the looks and craftsmanship, this guitar is more than worth the $400.
